I think we're seeing a lot more (now it's December! - apologies for the lack of replies here lol) people holding back on their luxuries, new bathrooms and kitchens included.

Not too sure if the new VAT cutback will help that many types of businesses to be honest either.

YES I AM SEEING A BIG CHANGE BUT ITS ONLY FIRST WEEK BACK AFTER HOLIDAYS I THINK THAT MIXED WITH THE DREADED CREDIT CRUNCH WE ARE WORRYING ABOUT NOTHING ONCE PEOPLE GET PAID AT END OF JAN I THINK IT WILL BE OK AGAIN

some tilers are busy some are not im up and down ,one minuite i have work the next i dont

Most site work has stopped around here so there are more tilers going for the domestic work (where I operate) Still getting a quite a few enquiries but lost a few jobs on price. Talking to a brickie the other day and his monthly income has dropped by nearly 40%. I hope mine doesn't go the same way!!!

Yeah ive seen a drop in cust enquiries hopefully the nice weather will pull us out of this recession!

It has been a very slow year so far, but i'm not sure if it cos the crunch, or the nhs as i waiting for my double hernia op. It was supposed to be done on march 4, the april 17, then may 1, and now may 8. Been doing a few little jobs in the mean time but cant really advertise, cos i'll be laid up for about 6 weeks after.
